Michael "Mike" Mims is Tax Principal and a registered Senior Property Tax Consultant. Prior to joining Popp Gray & Hutcheson, Mike was Director-Property Tax at HEB Grocery Company. Starting with HEB in 1989, and for the next 20-years, Mike handled all real estate and personal property tax matters on behalf of the company, which included appeals, lawsuit negotiations, and economic development agreements pertaining to retail, distribution centers and office building properties. Mike "retired" in December 2009 and joined Popp Gray & Hutcheson in February 2010.

Mike received his BBA in Finance from CCSU, now known as Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Mike has a solid background in the ad valorem field, holding positions in a County Tax Office, Appraisal District, national property tax firm and HEB; he finally got it right when he joined PGH.
